Habitat for Humanity Detroit (HFHD) utilizes building subcontractors in Wayne County, Michigan for many of our projects. Join us and help us help others together!

Habitat for Humanity Detroit (HFHD) utilizes building subcontractors in Wayne County, Michigan for many of our projects.  From skilled trades work on new builds and rehabs for our Homeownership program to projects big and small in our Critical Home Repair Program, we maintain a pool of qualified subcontractors who are eligible to bid on projects to help move the Habitat mission forward.

Ensuring work is done properly and with care, while treating all of our clients with respect and dignity, Habitat for Humanity Detroit requires the following of all subcontractors:

1. Completed Application

2. W-9 for Company

3. Proof of Insurance

Commercial/Comprehensive General Liability Insurance – Certificate of Insurance (COI)
Minimum coverage $1,000,000 per occurrence

Add the following as additional insured:
Habitat for Humanity Detroit

Worker’s Compensation Insurance – Certificate of Insurance (COI)
As required by law

Add the following as additional insured:

4. Builder’s or Other License (as applicable)

Habitat Detroit holds our subcontractors to the utmost standards through frequent communication with both subcontractors and homeowners, quality control checks of work, and through educating all subcontractors about the Habitat mission and positive impact in our communities.
