Building Homes – Building Community – Building Hope

Residents of a community know their hopes and dreams for their neighborhood — safe streets with decent and affordable homes, a place to buy fresh fruits and vegetables, a park for the kids to play, a school where students thrive. Currently, two out of every five homes surveyed in Detroit is considered sub-standard or poverty housing.

Through Habitat for Humanity’s Detroit’s neighborhood revitalization work, we tailor our efforts by partnering locally with residents, community leaders and organizations to best address real concerns and improve the lives of the people who live in the neighborhood. With residents leading revitalization efforts, Habitat’s work looks different in each community — a bank and grocery store in one, a youth center in another, walking trails, and community gardens in yet another.

Habitat for Humanity’s CommUNITY Impact Days are fun team-building opportunities. The activity enables participants to rally around a common cause, working collaboratively to help revitalize Detroit and build lasting memories. The funds we raise from sponsors like you are used to offer critical home repair assistance to low-income home owners.

If you are interested in sponsoring an CommUNITY Impact Day, please e-mail and we will contact you to discuss the sponsorship options in detail. We will work with you to select a project and a date that works best for your team. If you would like to check out the available projects, please click the link below. Projects are reserved on a first come, first served basis. Please note that the available neighborhood revitalization projects will appear as “closed” until reserved.
